Ingredients
Scale
For the Donuts:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup milk or almond milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
For the Coating:
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan thoroughly to ensure the donuts don’t stick. - Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Stir together until the mixture is well blended. - Whisk Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter or coconut oil until the ingredients are fully combined. - Combine Ingredients
Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix to ensure the donuts remain light and fluffy. - Fill the Donut Pan
Pour the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity approximately two-thirds full to allow room for rising. - Bake
Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts are golden brown and spring back when touched lightly. - Cool and Coat
Allow the donuts to cool slightly in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack. In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon for the coating. While the donuts are still warm, roll each one in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.
