Instructions

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir well to ensure the ingredients are evenly distributed.

  2. Prepare Wet Ingredients:

    • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until fully combined.

  3. Combine Ingredients:

    • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing continuously until a smooth dough forms. The dough should be slightly sticky but manageable.

  4. Roll Out the Dough:

    • Lightly flour a clean, flat surface and roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thickness. Use a doughnut cutter or two round cutters to shape the dough into doughnuts.

  5. Heat the Oil:

    • In a deep pan, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). It’s essential to maintain this temperature to ensure the doughnuts cook evenly and achieve a golden-brown color.

  6. Fry the Doughnuts:

    • Carefully place the doughnuts into the hot oil, frying them for 1-2 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown. Avoid overcrowding the pan to allow even cooking.
