Instructions

- Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

- Melt the Butter: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter until it’s completely liquefied. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

- Mix in Sugar and Eggs: Stir the granulated sugar into the melted butter until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. The mixture should be smooth and glossy.

- Add Cocoa and Vanilla: Sift the unsweetened cocoa powder into the mixture to avoid clumps. Add the vanilla extract and stir until everything is well incorporated.

- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually fold these dry ingredients into the wet mixture, being careful not to overmix.

- Incorporate Mix-ins: If desired, fold in the chocolate chips or chunks and chopped nuts. These add texture and extra chocolate flavor to your brownies.
