Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Add the molasses, egg, and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture, and mix until well combined.
- Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until you have a smooth batter.
- Spread Batter: Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
- Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Cut: Allow the bars to cool in the pan, then cut them into squares or rectangular bars.
