Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cooked lobster meat, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 stalk celery, diced
- 4 cups seafood broth or vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream or coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Sauté the Vegetables:
In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, diced carrot, and diced celery. Sauté until the vegetables are soft and fragrant, about 5-7 minutes. - Simmer the Broth:
Pour in the seafood broth or vegetable broth, and add the paprika. Stir well to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 10 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld together beautifully. - Add Lobster and Cream:
Stir in the chopped lobster meat and the heavy cream or coconut milk. Continue to simmer for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the cream to integrate fully and the lobster to heat through. - Season and Blend:
Season the bisque with salt and pepper to taste. If you prefer a smooth texture, use an immersion blender to blend the soup until smooth. Alternatively, you can leave it chunky for added texture. - Serve:
Serve the lobster bisque hot, garnished with fresh parsley for a touch of color and freshness.
