Beef Mixture Preparation
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook 1 lb ground beef until no longer pink, about 6–8 minutes.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the beef. Cook until onions turn translucent and garlic is fragrant, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes until sauce thickens and flavors meld.
Assembly & Baking
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Toss cooked egg noodles with the warm beef mixture in the prepared dish, stirring gently until noodles are evenly coated with sauce.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella evenly over the noodles, then finish with a light dusting of grated Parmesan.
- Bake uncovered for 20 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and lightly golden on top.
- Remove casserole from oven and let it rest 5 minutes to set. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley before serving.
