Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash 3-4 overripe bananas with a fork until mostly smooth.
- Whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
- In a separate bowl, beat melted butter with granulated and brown sugar until creamy.
- Whisk in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula.
- Sprinkle in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and fold gently until evenly distributed.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50-60 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
