How to Make Budget Italian Sausage & Bean Casserole
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F while you gather and prep all ingredients.
  2. Brown sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking into crumbles until golden-brown, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Sauté onion & garlic in the same skillet for 3 minutes, stirring until onions turn translucent and garlic releases its aroma.
  4. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, mixing well to coat the sausage and aromatics before adding remaining ingredients.
  5. Pour in white beans, diced tomatoes, and chicken broth, stirring to combine and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, until the sauce is bubbling.
  8. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes, then sprinkle fresh parsley and grated Parmesan on top before serving.
