How to Make Italian Sausage & Peppers Bake
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Warm olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the sausages for 3–4 minutes per side until golden.
- Transfer sausages; add sliced bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic. Sauté for 5–7 minutes until softened.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, basil, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Nestle the sausages back into the sauce, spooning sauce over them.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes until sauce bubbles and sausages are cooked through.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil and grated Parmesan before serving.
