How to Make Italian Sausage & Peppers Bake
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Warm olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the sausages for 3–4 minutes per side until golden.
  3. Transfer sausages; add sliced bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic. Sauté for 5–7 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, basil, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Nestle the sausages back into the sauce, spooning sauce over them.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes until sauce bubbles and sausages are cooked through.
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil and grated Parmesan before serving.
