  • 1/2 cup Pure maple syrup key ingredient for sweetness
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard adds tangy depth
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce provides savory umami notes
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice brightens and tenderizes
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil keeps chicken moist
  • 1 teaspoon Salt for seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper for seasoning

  • 1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes for a mild kick
  • 2 sprigs Fresh thyme or rosemary for aromatic notes
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped parsley for garnish

Method
 

Marinade
  1. Combine pure maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl until smooth and well blended.
  2. Marinate chicken pieces in the maple mixture, turning to coat all sides. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours).
Baking
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and position a rack in the center. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  2. Arrange chicken skin-side up on the sheet, reserving extra marinade for basting.
  3. Bake chicken on the middle rack for 25–30 minutes until skin is golden brown and caramelized. Check with a thermometer to reach 165°F (74°C).
  4. Rest baked chicken on a warmed platter for 5 minutes before serving.
