Spicy Korean Chicken Recipe

  • Author: Victoria

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 lb chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)
  • 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp ginger (grated)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix together gochujang, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Let it sit for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
  3. Cook the Chicken: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the marinated chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  4. Add Garnishes: Once cooked, sprinkle sesame seeds on top of the chicken and garnish with chopped green onions for a burst of color and added flavor.
  5. Serve: Serve the spicy Korean chicken hot, accompanied by rice or your choice of vegetables.
